J29 Strategies works with organizations navigating complexity, growth, and change — helping leaders move from good intentions to real results.
The most pressing challenges facing organizations today—fragmentation, misalignment, stalled strategy, leadership transitions—rarely have simple solutions. They require clear thinking, skilled facilitation, and the discipline to move from insight to action.
J29 Strategies brings all three.

Three integrated areas of practice—each designed to move organizations forward.
We help organizations develop strategies that are clear, actionable, and built for execution—not just presentation. From strategic planning to organizational transformation, we work at the intersection of vision and reality.

Structured collaboration for organizations facing shared challenges.
Collaborative Cohorts bring together 6–10 aligned organizations—nonprofits, businesses, or a mix of both—to work collectively on a shared strategic, operational, or community challenge.
Rather than tackling these issues in isolation, organizations engage in a time-bound, facilitated process designed to produce practical solutions and lasting partnerships.
This is not a peer network.
It's not a discussion group.
It's collaboration with structure, accountability, and outcomes.
Cohorts are especially effective when organizations are facing:
Each cohort runs 3–6 months and includes:
The process moves deliberately from clarity → action → outcomes.
While every cohort is different, common outcomes include:
Most importantly, participants leave with progress, not just insight.

I've spent my career being called in when things are complicated — organizations growing faster than their systems, leadership teams that need alignment, strategies that exist on paper but haven't translated to action.
Over 30 years, I've worked in management consulting (Alvarez & Marsal, PwC/BearingPoint), corporate strategy (SVP Strategic Planning at a multibillion-dollar global payments company), entrepreneurship (co-founded a tech start-up), and senior nonprofit leadership (CSO and Acting CEO of a $400M human services organization). I've sat in the boardroom, run the whiteboard, and coached over coffee — whatever the moment called for.
I'm a builder, a fixer, and an executor. I take "back-of-the-napkin" ideas and turn them into plans that work.
Navigated a large nonprofit through a significant PR and program crisis while simultaneously beginning implementation of a new strategic plan.
Developed two 3-year strategic plans for a $350M human services organization; drove alignment across a newly formed executive team during a period of significant growth.
Built the strategic planning function from scratch at a multibillion-dollar global payments company; led strategy development domestically and globally.
Reorganized a $90M division of the NYC Public Schools; eliminated $3.6M from the budget and transformed the department from compliance-driven to customer-focused.
Reversed a 2-year revenue decline as Interim VP of Marketing; completed a stalled brand transition and rebuilt the connection between marketing and enrollment.
Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal; Senior Manager at PwC/BearingPoint. Led large-scale transformation, CRM, change management, and strategy engagements across financial services, healthcare, pharma, public sector, and more.
Co-founded Spotlight Performance, a professional learning technology start-up. Secured clients across higher education, healthcare, and corporate sectors.
